COONEY, Michael John, 52, of Valrico, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009. A native of Fort Lauderdale, he had resided here for 15 years coming from Woodstock, GA. He was a deacon and member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Riverview and a member of the 14th Brooklyn Regiment, Civil War Re-enactments and Central Florida Families for Living History. He is survived by his wife, Dru; daughter, Shea Cooney, Orlando, FL; 4 sons, Logan, Morgan, Brennan and Pierson Cooney, all of Valrico, FL; mother, Aileen Cooney, Jackson, GA; brother, Tom Cooney, Crystal River, FL and 2 sisters, Pat Hanus, Jackson, GA and Jane Cooney, Mesquite, TX.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of Mike's life will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 12404 Boyette Road, Riverview. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
