
Mehmet Cetin, 93, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. A native of Giresun, Turkey, he retired from his 40-year career in anesthesiology and moved from New York City to his much-loved vacation home in Sarasota, FL in 1995. Mehmet was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sons, Kenan (Dale) Cetin and Kurt (Marie) Cetin; his ife-partner Elizabeth Wachenheim; one sister; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A funeral mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10:30am with a committal service following at Resurrection Cemetery in Seffner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Doctors without Borders.
