Mary Lee peacefully left this world on Thursday, October 24, 2024, after a long and full life. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1935. In her youth, she moved to Tampa and was a proud graduate of Plant High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Boyd, with whom she shared a beautiful seventy-year marriage. Together, they created a construction and real estate development company. Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Kathleen and Bernard Lee Bartlam, and her son, Jeff Burley, whom she carried in her heart each day. She is survived by her husband, Boyd Burley; son, Mitch Burley (Rose); sister, Carol Craft; grandchildren: Ryan Burley (Staci), Alena Knapp (Kyle), Steven Burley (Tara), Allison Jackson (Jai), Thomas Burley (Kim) and Jeffrey Burley. She was especially delighted by her great grandchildren: Clark Burley, Kyson Burley, Brady Burley and Ellie Knapp.
Mary Lee had a passion for traveling, exploring the world with her family and friends, creating memories in every place she visited. A true shopper at heart, Mary Lee delighted in finding treasures for her loved ones, always thinking of ways to bring joy to others. Her family was her greatest source of happiness.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mark Craft for his devoted care to his aunt.
In lieu of a funeral, the family will gather for a private dinner to celebrate her life. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her!
