Mary Luenna Bergen
BERGEN, Mary L., 92, of Valrico, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. Mary started her nursing career as a Nurse in the US Army where she served in the Korean War, and finished her nursing career some 40 years later. She was very active at Bell Shoals Baptist Church where she was in charge of the ESL program teaching English. Marys other passion was mission work, she was privileged to travel all over the world to benefit others, and her last trip was to North Africa at the age of 90. Survivors include her sons, William Bergen; Jeff (Barbara) Bergen; Kevin (Pamela) Bergen; Paul (Kathy) Bergen; daughter, Eileen (Tom) Loftus. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon in the chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bell Shoals Baptist Church/Missions.
