Maritza Vega, 58, beloved wife, mother and Mimi. She was an incredible woman who loved fiercely. She was an extraordinary teacher inside and outside the classroom. From elementary school teaching to college teaching, her students were her passion. Every place she taught, she created a community for students and their families. She was loved by many.
Her strength will live on through her daughters, Dagmar (Dustin) and Lisa (Ian) along with her grandbabies, Londyn and Lana. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart husband David, who shares the same angel day.
Maritza will especially be remembered for her beautiful soul and fiery spirit that served to strengthen those around her.
Private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please volunteer at your local schools.
