Marco D. Monti
MONTI, Marco D., died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Hospice House, Ruskin, FL. Marco was born on July 26, 1932, in Rockford, Illinois, and is survived by five children, Gary, Allen, Sita, Mark and Steven Monti, along with two grandchildren Anthony Donovan and Marcus Monti. Marco was retired from his position for the State of Florida where he worked in public health administration. Before moving to Florida he had worked in public health administration for the State of Illinois. He held a Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in public health from the University of Michigan. He was a resident of Brandon, FL and had also lived in Jacksonville and Sarasota. Marco was a veteran and served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Marco enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours fishing and hunting. He was a keen observer of habits of game animals and could speak at length about the subject. When he lived in Jacksonville he was a member of the Little Suwanee Hunting club where he spent several weeks each hunting season and many weekends throughout each year. He also was a licensed private pilot and was interested in the history of aviation.
