Louis R. Cacciatore
Louis Ramon Lou Cacciatore passed away on July 8, 2017 and might be on that midnight train to Heaven. He was born on April 23, 1936 to Nelson and Sara Cacciatore. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Anthony (Tony) and survived by brothers, Robert and John. He also leaves his wife, Cheryl, sons, Steven and Michael (MD), daughter, Patricia Martin, and stepson, Lance Carswell, as well as six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Lou was born and raised in Ybor City and attended Florida State University and graduated from there in January, 1959. He worked at GTE Florida, International Minerals & Chemical, USF business office, Airtron Inc., Castle Supply, and retired from GTE Data Services in 1996 with a combined total of 26 years of GTE service (five with GTE Florida and twenty-one with GTE Data Services). He was among the first to have an adjusted (four day work week) forty hour schedule and to introduce casual Fridays. He was fortunate to have met, worked with, and counted many friends from his travel through life. Everything above was written by Lou. Lou dealt with Alzheimers up until his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you instead use the funds to have a drink on Lou. Visitation will be Friday, July 14 from 6 to 8 PM, funeral service will be Saturday, July 15 at 10 AM, both being held at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive in Riverview.
