Loretta Fazio, 61, passed away peacefully on December 25th, surrounded by her loving family.
A graduate of Nativity Catholic School and Brandon High School, she held a degree in accounting from University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. For the past 37 years, Loretta has made a home in South Tampa, where she was an accountant, avid gardener and volunteer at her church and in the community. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she was involved in a multitude of service organizations including Thursday morning women’s Bible study, Renew Haiti, St. Vincent de Paul, Women's Advent Social, Care Club, St Michael’s Legal Center and was a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father Tommy Fazio. She is survived by her mother, Lily Massaro Fazio, and her siblings: Rose Burley (Mitch), Sylvia Hornaman (Cary), Paul Fazio (Cecy) and Luci Hart (George). She also leaves behind her nephews and nieces: Ryan Burley (Staci), Alena Knapp (Kyle), Thomas Burley (Kim), Rod Hart (Rachel), Courtney and Garrett Hart, Marie, Anne and Emilie Fazio.
A service will be held Tuesday, January 3rd at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry, Tampa, FL 33609. Reception in social hall to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to LifePath Hospice, 12470 Telecom Drive, Suite 300, Temple Terrace, FL 33637. We are incredibly grateful for the loving care provided by LifePath Hospice. Loretta is now resting with the Lord.
