Lillian "Lil" Mulcay Coleman, 55, of Riverview, went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 4, 2012, after a 7 year battle with cancer. All who knew her described her fight with the disease as courageous and a testimony to her great faith. Lil was born May 9, 1956 at the Bulape Mission Station, Belgian Congo, Africa where her parents, Rev. and Mrs. William T. Mulcay, Sr. served as Presbyterian Missionaries. After leaving the Congo in 1960, she and her family resided in Sebring, Wauchula, and Frostproof, Florida. She graduated high school from Hampton DuBose Academy in Zellwood, Florida and went on to obtain a degree in Business from Belhaven College, Jackson, Mississippi. In 1980 she began a very successful career with Sea World Parks and Entertainment, Busch Gardens Division as the Admissions Manager. She continued in that position until her health forced an early retirement. In 1993 she married Charles Randall Coleman of Brandon and together they shared their love for horses as active members of The Soncoast Chapter of Cowboys for Christ and she was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Brandon. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband and devoted caregiver, Randy; by a son, Andrew Coleman and his wife Allison; Granddaughter, Kylie; mother-in-law, Mrs. Woodie Coleman; brother, William T. Mulcay, Jr., and his wife, Kathy, Wauchula, FL; sister, Cherry M. Ragland, and her husband John, Cedartown, GA; brother-in-law, Donnie Coleman and wife Debbie; Sister-in-law, Pam Hernandez and husband, Tom, all of Brandon; sister-in-law Debbie Alderman and husband, Jerry, Germanton, NC and a host of Nieces and Nephews. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 818 North Parsons Ave., Brandon, FL on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012, at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Bill Johnson and Mr. William T. Mulcay, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the church or to Life Path Hospice, 12973 N. Telecom Parkway, Suite 100, Temple Terrace, Florida 33637.

Funeral Information

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 818 North Parsons Ave., Brandon, FL on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012, at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Bill Johnson and Mr. William T. Mulcay, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service.
