Kristen J. Scafella Drago
DRAGO, Kristen J. Scafella, 50, of Riverview, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, after a nine-year battle with cancer. Born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Drs. Frank and Jeanne Scafella, she grew up in Morgantown, WV and earned her Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia University. She later completed her Masters from the University of Maryland. She was married to LTC Joseph P. Drago, U.S. Army, Retired. They have one daughter, Mia, 14 and is survived by her husband, daughter, parents, and one sister, Kerry Haines, Fort Myers, FL. Kristen was a moving force in whatever endeavor she undertook. Prior to her marriage, she managed restaurants in Dayton, Zanesville and Cleveland, OH, and also was manager of Papa Razzi's in old Georgetown, Washington, D.C. She was president of a staffing company in Tampa before working from home as a recruiter/headhunter for restaurant managers with Moore Hospitality, Inc. Her involvement with youth soccer was conducted with equal zeal and she will be greatly missed by the parents who joined her on the sidelines.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 5, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:00 P.M. (Noon) Friday, February 6, 2015, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Ruskin, FL. Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
