Smaller, Klara A. "Kitty"
SMALLER, Kitty, of Brandon, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2009. Born Klara Auguste Schmaltz, in Heidesheim am Rhein, Germany, she met her husband, a GI, while working at the Mainz Ordnance Depot. They were married in 1957 in Brooklyn, NY and settled in Canarsie, NY, later moving to Somerset NJ; Wappingers Falls, NY; Cary, NC and Boulder, CO, before coming to Brandon in 1980. She was truly one of a kind, wth a heart of gold and generous nature, she touched many lives through her charitable works. She will be remembered by all that knew her as a caring and giving person and she was blessed with extraordinary talents in Arts Crafts, sewing ,knitting crocheting. In her last days, as she courageously battled constant pain, she demonstrated the same fierce determination and optimism that she had exhibited her entire life. Survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Ronald, cousins in New York and Germany, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2913 John Moore Road, Brandon , with a reception at the church following the services.
