Obituary for Kenneth Wiley Roberts
Kenneth Wiley Roberts, went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2021 after declining health. He was 88 years old, a Florida Native and resided in Gibsonton, Florida. He served in the Navy during the Korean war on an aircraft carrier. He was a good artist and while still living at home with his parents he was invited out to California by Walt Disney who was interested in his art. He declined the invitation because he didn’t want to leave his home and family. He was married to his loving wife Eleanor (Ele Mae) Roberts for 38 years. He had 4 children, Martha Allee, Mary Turner, Dale Roberts, and (Wesley Roberts, now deceased). He was blessed with another 6 children, all of whom he embraced as his own, Jennie Jeffcoat, Lillian George, Elizabeth Roberts, Sherry Thompson, Julie Jeffcoat and Jacob Jeffcoat. Together he and Elle had 10 children, 25 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was also survived by his sister Voniece Tupper and had 2 brothers Larry Roberts and Don Roberts, both deceased, and many extended family and friends. “What a beautiful life”. He loved his family more than life itself. He was loving, kind, caring, encouraging, generous, and loved to have fun. He especially enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren. He enjoyed football, racing, golfing, remote control airplanes, camping, fishing, boating. He was a member of the Riverview Moose Lodge where he and Ele enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Kenneth will be greatly missed here on earth and we are heartbroken to let him go. We know how confident he was in where he will spend eternity and we release him to the Lord and to the enjoyment of Heaven and a reunion with others that have gone before him. “You will always be in our hearts”. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends on October 9, 2021 at noon at a private home. Please reach out to a family member or call 813-924- 3281 for more information.
