GAWNE, Kenneth "Ken" Raymond, 88, of Sun City, FL, formerly of Mundelein, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. A beloved husband and devoted father, he is survived by his wife Caryl; his son Raymond (Marie) Gawne, Chicago, ILl; daughters Janice (Robert) Vote, Indianapolis, IN and Karen (Paul) Gerardi, Riverview, FL; 5 grandsons: Andrew (Tia) and Nicholas (Julie Kavanaugh) Vote, Geoffrey and Garrett Gawne, and Jeremy Gerardi; and one great-grandson, Oliver Vote. He was a US Navy WWII veteran. He worked for the Chicago American and Chicago Tribune from age 18 until his retirement in 1986.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9 at 11AM at Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oliphant.
