Kathryn “Kathy” Diane Murdock (née Hoke), age 75, of Riverview, Florida, passed away on June 28, 2026 after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 1, 1951 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Richard and Ethel Hoke. She attended Meadville High School and graduated Edinboro University with a degree in mathematics and computer science. Kathy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She enjoyed attending church, baking and decorating sugar cookies, cross-stitching, jigsaw puzzles, and creating a warm, welcoming home for family and friends. Above all, she was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carolyn “Tinker” Forrest; and her daughter, Kathryn “Katie” Murdock.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Jennifer Stutts (Colin) and grandchildren Avery, Rory, and Ethel; her son, John W. Murdock, Jr. (Kyla) and grandchildren Madelyn and Elizabeth; her brother, Curtis Hoke (Carol); her sister, Connie Boyd (Bob); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
