Obituary for Judith H. Soares

Judy Soares, a devoted servant of Jehovah, passed away on December 28, 2025. She was born in Orange, New Jersey on October 29,1950 and has resided in Tampa, Florida. Judy was a bookkeeper for her husband’s painting business and supported him in his spiritual endeavors. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her devotion through baptism on Dec 31,1967. She had a strong faith and enjoyed studying the Bible and sharing her hope with many different people. Her hope included the future promises of living forever on a paradise Earth as promised at Revelation 21:3,4. Judy was very hospitable and enjoyed opening her home and welcoming you with tea or wine. She had an extensive giraffe collection. Judy was a member of the East Riverview Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Judy will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, John Soares, children Tammy McLean and her husband Todd McLean, Danny Soares and wife Darrie Soares, Heather Galloway and husband John Galloway, and grandchildren Sydney Gribnitz and her husband Brendan Gribnitz, Erika Soares, and Austin McLean, also her bonus daughters Kenya Slaughter and Tammara Lloyd, and various other relatives, cousins, nieces and nephews including her sister-in-law Gwen Ludvigsen and niece Erika Ludvigsen. She is predeceased by her mother, Alice (Brandt) Ludvigsen; father, Otto John Ludvigsen and brother John Shelby Ludvigsen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 3, 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3809 John Moore Road, Brandon, FL 33511 with a dinner reception for all in attendance at The Garden Riverview, 6445 S. US Hwy 301, Riverview, FL 33578.
