Joseph Donald Emnett, 87, of Riverview, FL, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. A native of Bluefield, WV, he had resided here most of his lifetime. He was a U.S. Navy veteran; a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church; St. Vincent de Paul Society and Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches;Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind; US Navy Tin Can Sailors; Jesuit High School Alumni; Catholic Relief Services; Boy Scouts of America Troop 89; Florida Blind Research Institute and Florida Alzheimer's Research. He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Lawrence Joseph Emnett and Michael Joseph Emnett; brother, Charles Edward Emnett and two grandchildren, Cloe and Geordi Emnett. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 14, 2022, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul or Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches.
