Cacciatore, Johnny Ina, 93, of Riverview, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 72 years (73 years in July), Eleanor Garcia Cacciatore; daughters, Susan C. Miller (Joe) and Cathleen C. Damico (Anthony); grandchildren, Brent Williams (Tahrea), Christa Sublett (Charles), Andrea Robinson (Daniel), Leslie Molczyk (Michael), A.J. Damico (Alyssa); and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Sara Cacciatore; brothers, J.A. (Tony) Cacciatore, Robert Cacciatore, Ina Cacciatore, Louis Cacciatore; and very close family friend of more than 75 years, Henry Valdez.
Johnny was born and raised in Ybor City and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1950, before proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. In 1957, he began his distinguished career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where he faithfully served under five Sheriffs. After many years of dedication to law enforcement, he retired as Major of Homicide and Vice in 1995. Retirement brought Johnny great joy as he traveled the world with Eleanor and his brothers. He enthusiastically embraced the role of Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and treasured the time spent with his family. Johnny created memories that will be cherished for generations.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Damico, Brent Williams, A.J. Damico, Michael Molczyk, Charles Sublett, and Daniel Robinson. Honorary pall bearers are Joe Miller, Bobby DeLuna, and Joe Blocker. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Johnny's life long love of animals, donations to First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary in Riverview (website: FirstLadiesFarm.com) or (checks to: FLFAS 13028 Shadow Run Blvd., Riverview, FL 33569) or an animal charity of your choice is appreciated.

Visitation, May 19, 10 am and funeral service, 11 am at Southern Funeral Care -10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview. The burial will be at Blount and Curry, Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa at 12 pm.
