Obituary for Johnny Clifford Butler
BUTLER, Sr., Johnny (John) C., 71, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family and loved ones on January 17, 2019. Born in Panama City, FL, but made Tampa his home, he is survived by his 3 sons, Johnny Butler, Jr. (Kimberley), Bart Butler (Maggie) and Matthew Butler (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Johnny, III, Molly Rose and Mallory Grace; sister, Marynell Palmer, sisters-in-law, Karen Butler, Sue Gates (Elliott) and Cathy Zaremba; brother-in-law, Bill Zaremba; nephews, Jimmy Butler and Jack Gates and his nieces, Ann Prete, Angie Byrd and Denise Zentler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ann Butler; parents, Henry Milton Butler and Edna Hutto Lang; brother, James (Jim) T. Butler Sr.; father-in-law, Frank Zaremba; mother-in law, Mary Zaremba and her sister-in-law, Connie Zaremba. John was a dedicated husband, father and friend to many. He attended Plant High School where he was Student Council President, and homecoming King. He attained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and became a general contractor who built many homes throughout the Tampa Bay Area. He enjoyed his family, camping, the beach, boating and cookouts with is family.
