John David Gianino, 78, a lifelong Floridian, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. Born on September 13, 1947, John spent most of his life in Brandon, Florida, where he built lasting friendships and a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, John served his country with honor before beginning a long and successful career in sales with Ed Morse Cadillac.
John will be remembered for his easygoing spirit, his deep love for family, and his quiet strength.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terri (Summers) Gianino, and their daughter and son, Anna Gianino and John Gianino Jr. (wife, Melissa); as well as children from his former wife, Cheryl (Schepis) Gianino, daughters Alisa (Gianino) Johnson (husband, Cody) and Angela Gianino. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Adrianna, Haley, Alina, Peyton, Joshua, Amilia, Persephone, and Olivia.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Gianino, and is survived by his brother, Thomas (Tommy) Gianino.
A service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Southern Funeral Care in Riverview with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. to honor John’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity or veteran organization in John’s memory.
