Joaquin Alberto Cabrera (August 16, 1962 - August 3, 2024)
Joaquin "Jack" Cabrera - loving and fun father, brother, uncle, and friend - transitioned to his heavenly home surrounded by family on August 3, 2024 at the age of 61. Jack was predeceased by his father, Felix Cabrera and his mother, Raquel Cabrera. He is survived by his two children, Yadiel Cabrera and Lauren Cabrera; his four siblings, Nicolas (Hilda) Cabrera, Marcella (Rene) Gregorio, Candido (Nancy) Cabrera, and Richard (Karen) Cabrera; 9 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many other relatives.
At a very young age, he began working in the clothing industry, which opened the doors to incredible opportunities. As a result of his hard work, Jack was able to create various successful clothing brands. He traveled around the globe, with China and Puerto Rico being his most frequented destinations. The small island of Puerto Rico quickly became a place he treasured, which led him to plant his roots and raise his family.
Although his time on earth was shortened, we are left with many fond memories full of laughter and love. Let us remember the good times we spent with him and the lessons he taught us. Jack was an excellent example of expressing yourself no matter the circumstances, loving yourself unconditionally, and not holding grudges.
A cold beer, watching sports, and spending time with his family were what he cherished most. He was and will always be the "heart" of the party. His family will remember him as a family man, salsa lover, classic movie connoisseur, and avid chocolate chip cookie eater. May his spirit live in our hearts and memories in our thoughts, forever.
