Obituary for Jerome Clay Creasy
Jerome “Jerry “Creasy was born December 1, 1940 in Miami, Florida to L.J. and Rosina Creasy. He passed away in the comfort of his home on July 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving and devoted wife Anita, son Joey and grandson Gabriel.
He graduated from the University of Miami in 1963 with a business degree.
He met Anita in Miami and they married in November 1971. He and Anita recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were blessed to have a son, Joey in 1975.
Jerry worked at Ore-Ida foods as a regional sales manager for over 17 years.
They were Brandon residents since 1978. Jerry retired in 2002.
His favorite past times included Miami Hurricane football, boating, traveling and Little League sports.
He had a great sense of humor, was honest to the core and loved being a father and enjoyed sharing many past times with his son Joey.
Jerry is survived by Anita, Joey, and his grandchildren Gabriel and Allana and great grandson Jaire.
A funeral service will be conducted at Southern Funeral Care on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 4 PM with family receiving friends one hour prior to services. A graveside service will be conducted at Sarasota National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations out to the Parkinson's Foundation.
