Jeffrey Taylor Ackerman, 73, of Tampa FL, entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2022 after a long, courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born January 18, 1949 in Boston, MA but spent most of his formative years in South Tampa. He graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 1967 and went on to continue his education at LaGrange College and USF. He was in the Air Force Reserve. Jeff lived in New Orleans for 12 years working as a sales representative in the liquor industry. He moved back to Tampa to start his own successful business, Brandon Janitorial and Paper Supply. He loved playing tennis and golf. He loved his dog and many cats. The pride and joy in his life was his children, Jack and Jesseanne. He never missed any of their ball games. The trio went on many vacations to Key West to go sail fishing and out West to visit the national parks. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Hane Ackerman and Mae Jean Ackerman; his older brother, John Lawrence Ackerman. He is survived by his devoted adult children, Jack and Jesseanne Ackerman; devoted older brother, Carl Edward Ackerman; sisters, Jeanne Ackerman and Mayda Williams; he will also be missed by his stepdaughter, Michelle Gravois Haik of New Orleans; nephews, John Ackerman Jr. and Taylor Costilow; and nieces, Courtney Costilow Jaeger and Tracey Gerdon Cohen. A Celebration of Life is being planned in December 2022.
