Obituary for Jeffrey Edward Sabonis
SABONIS, Jeffrey Edward 40, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2020. Born in Tampa, FL December 28, 1979, he is survived by his loving family. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and had severe respiratory problems. Always our hero, he worked hard to overcome his many physical and medical challenges. He graduated from East Bay High School in 1999, He was a Boy Scout, played Challenger Little League, and was a loyal Rays Season Ticket Holder for years. He loved Baseball, Football, and Mecum Auto Auctions. He enjoyed spending time with his teachers, therapists, friends, and family. Jeff has a good sense of humor and could be quite mischievous. His smile could light up a room. Determined to be a survivor, he fought against his medical obstacles. His parents would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, and caregivers who helped him in his fight for life. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church in Riverview on Friday, March 6, 2020. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the Make a Wish Foundation.
