James Robert "Jim" Coker
COKER, James Robert "Jim", 82, of Brandon, died peacefully, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born at home, June 27, 1933, in Port Wentworth, GA, he had resided here 45 years. A 1958 graduate of the University of Georgia, he was a US Army veteran, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brandon, a member of the Ray Harrison Sunday School class, Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club and secretary of Men's Bowling League at Oakfield Lanes. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and made beautiful pieces of furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leroy and Beatrice Moulton Coker and brother, Walter Leroy Coker, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Claudia McPipkin Coker; sons, Lee (Candace) Coker, Greg (Susan) Coker and Ron Coker; sister, Margaret O'Brien and 9 grandchildren, Sara Futch, Mollie Grooms, Maggie Jo Hauck, Rachel West, Luke and Jesse Coker, Joe and Eric McKinnon and Sara Bermudez.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 3, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Brandon, 120 N. Knights Ave., Brandon, FL 33510.
