Obituary for James Leonard Harris. Sr.
James Leonard Harris, Sr., 80, of Riverview, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. A native of Scotch Plains, NJ, he had resided here since 2003 coming from the Poconos, PA. He lived most of lifetime, from 1976-2000, in Detroit, MI, was a US Army veteran and a life member of the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife, Talana R. Harris; son, James L. Harris, Jr.; daughters, Trenell Marie Harris-Hayes and Jenese L. Harris; sister, Sophie Wright; 3 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:30 P.M. with Military Funeral Honors.
