
James Gregory Kessler of Wimauma, FL, died on December 13, 2023 at the age of 71. He was born in Lebanon, PA in 1951 to the late Clair and Ruth (Caudill) Kessler. He graduated from Cedar Crest High School, Lebanon, PA, Penn State University and the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in speech pathology. He was a retired speech pathologist with Hillsborough County Public Schools. He spent his early career working in sales and management positions. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia (Gerberich) Kessler and son, Gregory Kessler, and daughter, Kelly (Kessler) Penix, as well as five grandchildren, Grant, Ava, Anna, Hailey and Cole. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Kessler of Mannheim, PA. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce (Kessler) Rowe and Joan Kessler. Jim enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially his grandchildren’s sporting events and also researching and investing in the stock market. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and love of family and adventure. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private celebration of life service will be held at a later time for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
