James G. Schwartz
SCHWARTZ, James G., 77, of Valrico, entered into God's Kingdom on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; sister, Jane Fischer (Jack); three sons, Richard (Carol), Tim Weaver (Shelle), and Chris Weaver (Sheila); four precious grandchildren, Nathan, Travis, Toby, and Isabella Weaver; his loyal companion, Kirby, and many devoted nieces and nephews, and long-time friends. Jim proudly served in the US Army, went on to work for GTE, retiring in 1992 after 31 years. He was a parishioner at Nativity Catholic Church since 1978. Jim was a loyal Bucs fan, and before being diagnosed with ALS in 1994, he was an avid tennis player and golfer. Jim was always known to offer his quick wit and humor. To know him was to love him.
Funeral Information
The family will greet friends on Sunday, January 24, 2010, from 2:00 until 3:30 P.M., with a prayer service at 3:30 P.M. at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview. A Funeral Mss will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2010 at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon. Interment will follow at Limona Cemetery.
