Obituary for Ionie Q. Buck Scogin
Ionie Q. (Buck) Scogin, 87, born September 23, 1934 and left this world for his heavenly home on March 5, 2022. Born in Jasper, AL, he was preceded in death by his parents, I.Q. Scogin, Sr. and Eunice Scogin; his guardian, Wayne Lynch; brothers, Allen Scogin and Charles Scogin and sister, Ilell Scogin Daniel. Survived by sisters, Charlotte Scogin Lynch, Brandon and Gale Scogin Wallace (Jim), GA and many nieces and nephews. Buck graduated from Brandon High School in 1952 and then served in the US Army. He returned to Brandon to join in the family clothing business and ultimately became the sole owner of Scogin’s Clothing Store. The family invites you to join in honoring his life with a Celebration Gathering from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Samaritans Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, in memory of Buck Scogin.
