ROSE, Hilda Cranford, 98, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Hawthorne Village, Brandon, FL. Hilda was born in Asheboro, NC on October 28, 1915 and was the daughter of the late, Herman and Nellie Cranford of Asheboro. Prior to moving to Hawthorne Village, she had been a resident of Tampa since 1945. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George W. Rose, an executive at GTE (now Verizon). She is survived by her three sons, David (Judy) Rose and Bob (Freddie) Rose, all of Valrico, FL and Sam Rose, Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Karen Rose Heinberg, Tampa, FL, Kathy Rose (Chris) Chambers, Sandpoint, ID, Andrea Rose (Gerry) Gill, Charlotte, NC and Rob (Brittany) Rose, Brandon, FL and six great-grandchildren, Katie and Buddy Chambers, Ethan and Tanner Heinberg and Sydney and Carly Gill. Hilda was devoted to her family and friends, enriching their lives with her love and kindness.
