Helena Victoria Maleski of Brandon, Fla., died Saturday, April 28, 2012. She was born in New York City and lived for many years in Stamford, Connecticut and New Milford, Connecticut. She was employed by Southern New England Telephone for over 35 years. She was one of the first female supervisors for the phone company and was recognized as a pioneer in bringing women into leadership positions within the phone company. Her beloved husband of 64 years, Stanley Maleski, passed away in 2010. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Walter, Michael and Francis and two sisters, Mary Remis and Francisca. She is survived by her daughter, Kristine and husband, Ralph Cruikshank; a son, Stanley Maleski, Jr and wife, Cathy; a grandson, Sean Cruikshank and wife, Sarah and her great grandsons, Ian and Jake.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
