Heather Turney was beautiful inside and out. She was the type of person who awed you with her looks, and then stunned you with her down-to-earth personality, impressive work ethic, and kind heart. She was strong and independent, a devoted mom, amazing sister, loving daughter, and a fierce friend.
Heather served in the United States Airforce, completed a tour in Afghanistan, and earned the Diamond Sharp Award during her service. She became a living doner in July of 2024 and fulfilled one of her bucketlist dreams by donating a kidney and saving a life.
As a deputy sherrif for Manatee County, Heather earned the respect and love of her coworkers and created bonds that cannot be broken.
Heather's legacy will live on in her two wonderful sons and in the hearts of everyone she poured her love into.
She is survived by her boys, Johnny and Raiden Rillera, her mother and father, Mathew and Barbara Turney, her grandfather, Donald Turney, her sister, Samantha Gillespie, and her neices, Lydia, Natalie, and Abigail Gillespie.
"Rest in His peace Heather, until we see you again."
