Harry Horter
HORTER, Harry, 83, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. A Tampa native, he attended Mitchell, Woodrow Wilson and was a member of the Plant High Class of 1946. A graduate from the University of Florida, with a degree in electrical engineering, he was a Registered Professional Engineer. He began his career with the Tampa Electric Company and retired from the Florida Power and Light Company in 1988. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Steven Horter and by his brother, Adrian Horter. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bobbie D. Horter; his daughter, Jane Mertens and her husband Mark, of Brandon, and several nieces in Australia.
