HAROLD EDGAR WELCH, 79, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009. He was born on May 2, 1929 in Coshocton, Ohio. He served three years in the United States Army Reserve. He retired from the Tampa Port Authority after many years with a career in traffic and transportation in several ports around the country. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Brandon, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Ermal Welch; his daughter, Valerie Welch; two stepchildren, Gary Hicks and Paula Lasswell and three step grandchildren, Chason Hicks, Katherine Hicks and Matthew Lasswell. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Regional Brandon Hospital for their wonderful care and support of him.
Funeral Information
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. and the service will take place at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, January 30, 2009, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, Florida 33578. Internment will be in West Laffayette, Ohio.
