Harland L. Drawdy, Sr.
DRAWDY, Harland L. Sr., 86, a former longtime resident of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Hospice House of the Big Bend in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Drawdy was born on February 28, 1927 and was a native Floridian. A member of the United States Navy, he served his country honorably as a Seabee. He was employed by Tampa Electric Company, retiring after thirty-seven years of service and was a founding member of the Southside Baptist Church of Brandon where he served in the capacity of Deacon. Mr. Drawdy was predeceased by his wife of sixty-two years, Juanita, his father, Oscar Drawdy and his mother Pearl (Drawdy) Easom, his older brother Curtis, younger brother Leroy, and sisters Simyl and Louise. He is survived by his two sons, Harland Drawdy, Jr. of Monticello, Florida and Robin Drawdy of Atlanta, Georgia, his granddaughter Grace Drawdy of Atlanta, Georgia, brother Bobby Drawdy of Tampa and his nephew David Drawdy of Lakeland, Florida.
Funeral Information
A private graveside service will be held, for family, at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Limona Cemetery in Brandon. A memorial service will follow, that evening, at 6:00 P.M. at the Southside Baptist Church in Brandon.
