Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Gladys Jimenez, born September 3, 1950, passed away with her family by her side in the early hours of May 6, 2023, at the age of 72 years. She was a loving mother of five to her four sons and daughter, Americo, Alex, Maria, Joseph and Jayden, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren by extension. “Mama” as she was affectionately called by all who knew her, was a wonderful cook who relished in family moments shared over her meals. Mama loved to relax by working in her garden and tending to her chickens that brought her so much joy. She was one of a kind who enjoyed life to the fullest and even though she was a little woman, she had a larger-than-life personality and a heart of gold. Mama’s life was full of love, and that is the legacy she leaves behind with us all. Take comfort in knowing that her love and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those that she left has behind and that is exactly what she would want. You will always be missed and love Mama. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Bloomingdale Cemetery.
