Gerald "Wayne" Dabbs, 79, of Brandon, FL, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. A native of Plantersville, MS, he had resided here most of his lifetime. He worked for the Tampa Police Department for 14 years and retired from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office after 24 years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He is survived by his sons, Joseph and Christopher Dabbs; daughter Kimberly Hawks; his Significant Other, Lin Palmiotti; brother, William "Bill" Dabbs and 7 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
