George Stanley Revelle, 65, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 after a battle with brain cancer. He was born July 21, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, and raised by loving parents, Lucille and Carroll Revelle. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karre Revelle, mother Lucille Revelle, sister Elaine Revelle (Marla), son Stanley Revelle (Rachel), daughter Candice Hambrick, and 6 grandchildren, Stanley, Charlie, Annie, and Zelie Revelle, and Noah and Amelia Hambrick. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 16 years, Mary Lisa Revelle.
George graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in Accounting, working for BK&D as a CPA, then as a loan officer and bank vice president in Missouri. In later life, he served as a construction program manager, then became an entrepreneur, purchasing and growing a pool service business (A Clear Choice Pool) from 78 to 300+ pools in the Apollo Beach, Florida area.
George had various interests throughout his life, transitioning among riding a golf cart, gliding on two snow skis, and cruising on a chromed-out Harley Fatboy. But, helping his children find true happiness and the best version of themselves is what brought him lasting joy. His charted path in life was redirected many times by unforeseen events, but he always found new footing and began a new adventure, until the very end. His easy-going personality and genuine nature attracted loyal friends and generated lasting memories.
Visitation will begin at 1:15 p.m., in the Narthex of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 106 11th Ave NE, Ruskin, FL, followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 13th , 2024. A Catholic burial service will follow a few days later in Missouri. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Lifepath Hospice of Sun City Center Hospice House. His children would like to thank his wife, Karre, for the many years of happiness she brought to his life and the tireless and loving care she provided him during his final battle.
