Russell was born in Tampa,Florida on May 13, 1960. He was an Avid Sports fanatic with an obsession for the Buccaneers. An active member at Fellowship Baptist Church, Thonotosassa, Russ had a true Servants heart and was ALWAYS ready to help anyone that needed a hand. He was a Loving husband of 35 years to Gwen Thurman and an Amazing father to 4 Children. Tabby Josephson (Jeremy), Krissy Gildersleeve, Kara Hoyt (John) and Josh Thurman (Tiffany). What made his Heart Shine was his 13 GrandKiddos. Kaily,Kooper, Fallyn, Brittany, Karley, Kambrey, Gabe, Hudson, Holton, Kortland, Vada and Palmer. Papa is NOW chasing our sweet baby Girl Magnolia down the streets of gold in heaven. He is leaving this world with so many friends and family members that truly Loved him but his lifelong partners in crime were his Brother’s Charles, Earl and Rick.
This is not Goodbye because we know we will see him again and what a day that will be. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 22, 204, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Thonotosassa, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fellowship Baptist Church, Thonotosassa.
