George K. Amiraian, Jr., age 62, of Valrico, FL, died on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Tampa General Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Utica, New York, on January 8, 1960, the son of George K. and Marian (Dirtadian) Amiraian. He was raised and educated in Utica. He attended the State University of New York at Morrisville and graduated from the University at Buffalo.
On September 17, 2005, he married the love of his life, Angela Trigger. Angie was not simply George’s loving wife. She was also his devoted and tireless emotional supporter, caregiver, and advocate throughout his long illness.
Mr. Amiraian was the Director of Personnel at the City of Hallendale Beach, FL, for many years. He retired in April 2014.
In his retirement he enjoyed entertaining family and friends, following his favorite teams (the Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees), and spoiling his best buddy - his grandson, Kolten Leverett.
Mr. Amiraian is survived by his most beloved wife, Angie; his mother, Marian, of Boca Raton, FL; his sister, Annette Amiraian (Daniel Maggio), of Boynton Beach, FL; his brother, Arsen Amiraian, of Boynton Beach, FL; his brother, David (Donna) Amiraian, of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Kristin (Bobby) Grohs, Karin (Matt) Williams, Dana Amiraian (Richard D’Souza), and Marissa (Geoff) Reeves; daughter, Jessica (Buddy) Leverett; grandson, Kolten Leverett; grandnephews, Henry and George Williams, Lukas Grohs, and Emmett Ryan Reeves; grandnieces, Sophia Grohs, Brooke and Brynn D’Souza; mother-in-law, Genevieve Trigger; sister-in-laws, Sandy Trigger and Jenny Miller; and brother-in-law, Tommy Trigger. He is also survived by an aunt, Rose Dirtadian, and many loving cousins.
Mr. Amiraian is predeceased by his father, George K. Amiraian, Sr., and his sister, Arpina Amiraian.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 14, 2023, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, FL 33578, from 11 AM - 1 PM. Visitation will take place from 11 AM - 12 noon with a memorial service scheduled for 12 noon - 1 PM.
A reception will follow at Buckhorn Country Club, 2721 S. Miller Road, Valrico, FL 33596.
