Obituary for Garron Layne Denney
Garron Layne Denney
Garron Layne Denney was born February 15, 1963 in Houston, Texas and entered eternal rest on December 6, 2017 in Tampa, Florida where he had lived the past 20 years. He attended schools in Richardson, Texas through high school and continued his education with a degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Garron has worked in the area of manufacturing and subcontractor interface for Meadow Burke Inc. and more recently has been self-employed in management and leadership training. A longtime member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida, Garron has faithfully served in Student Ministry there for many years. His greatest joy, outside of spending time with his beloved daughter Shelby and traveling the world with her, has been teaching students about the love of Christ and pointing them to a saving relationship with Him. Garron has lived out the Great Commission and carried the name of Jesus to people all over the world, on mission trips to Brazil and East Asia. He has been a faithful servant and has been instrumental in the lives of students at Bell Shoals and around the world. Garron also enjoyed serving with Give Em Heaven Ministry, mentoring young men at a local juvenile detention facility. He is preceded in death by his youngest sister Jill Denney. Survivors include his daughter Shelby, his parents Jean and Gary Denney, his sister Laura Peel and husband Brad, niece Katherine Peel, and nephew Andrew Peel. Garron enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, spending time with others, and a good cup of coffee. Despite his unexpected illness, he continued to faithfully trust that his life was in Gods hands, and God surely used his life for His glory. A celebration of Garrons life will be held at Bell Shoals Baptist Church on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 5:30pm. A visitation with the family will be held at 4:30pm at Bell Shoals. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering through the International Mission Board at www.imb.org/give.
