Frankie Mae Williams, age 75, better known as “Mommy” departed her earthly life on Sunday, December 17, 2023 surrounded by her family. Frankie was born January 11, 1948 to Walter & Essie Mae Mapps Jones of Newton, MS. She graduated from North Gulfport High School and married Andrew Williams on August 30, 1969 in Crown Point, IN, devoted in union for 36 years.
Frankie was a retired Sears Associate working with the company over 30 years. She also served her community well, faithful in her churches: Centennial United Methodist under the late Pastor Robinson and Gary Christian Center under the late Pastor Jones in the Baby, Choir, and Comfort/Care Ministries. She was also a joyful supporter of the Wounded Warriors. Her love for the Lord absorbed her whole being in the way she loved and supported people. Her smile was infectious and her heart was amazing! Her life was a demonstration of God’s great love for us…This is her legacy! She will be deeply missed, but forever cherished! Frankie’s celebrated by her daughters Trina White (Sean) of Riverview, FL, Andrea Williams of Spring, TX; 4 grandchildren: Johnathan Wallace of Chicago, IL, Cierra Giddins (Ryne) of Riverview, FL, Perijana Sumrall (Quintel) of Houston, TX, and Hannah White of Riverview FL; 4 great grandchildren: Quintel Jr, Isriel, Judah, and Love of Houston,TX; 1 brother: Walter Jones (Cora) of Gulfport, MS; and 2 sisters: Angie Stewart of Gulfport, MS and Eunice Earle (Frank) of Spartanburg, SC; 2 sister-in-laws: Joyce and Jean Jones of Saginaw, MI, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Frankie was proceeded in death by her parents — Walter and Essie Mae Mapps Jones; Husband — Andrew Williams; Brothers — Joseph, Lewis, David, Eddie, JD, Mitch Jones; and Sisters — Mattie and Janie Jones, and Mary Jean Jimerson.

A Celebration of her Life will be held 11:00 A.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
