Francis L. "Kinney" McKinney, Jr.
McKINNEY, Jr., Francis L. (Kinney), 74, of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Born, November 21, 1936 in York, PA, he grew up in St. Augustine, FL and graduated from Ketterlinus High School in 1955 and played shortstop on the only baseball team to win a state championship in St. Johns County to present. He served in the US Army reserves and worked for the State of Florida DOT for 30 years, retiring as an Engineer. He was Exalted Ruler at Brandon Elks Lodge #2383 in 2000/2001. He is survived by his sister, Lois of St. Augustine; wife of 31 years, CJ (Carol) and 6 children; Francis McKinney, III (Fariba), Susan Halpin (Kevin), Judy Aube, Dinah Bishop (Adrian), Ron Massaro (Ale), Angie Jackson (Larry) all of the Tampa Bay area and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Brandon Elks Lodge #2383.
