Florinda Flo Dixon
Dixon, Florinda (Flo), 103, of Brandon, went home to her heavenly father on November 11, 2012. Flo was born in Douglas, North Dakota July 29, 1909. She moved to Brandon in the 1920's with her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Luke Dixon; her granddaughter, Debra Ann Barrington Jarosz, grandson, James Doyle Barrington Jr. and granddaughter, Lori Hardigan Cooper. She was a faithful member of Resurrection Community Church. She was a long time employee of Maas Brothers Department Store in Downtown Tampa and retired after 26 years. When she retired she remained active with her hobbies of painting, knitting, participating in the arts at Center Place and enjoyed the Homemakers Club of Brandon. Flo is survived by her son, Henry Leslie Hardigan and his children Lisa Killebrew, and Hank Hardigan of Chapel Hill, NC; her daughter, Betty Ann (Hardigan) Barrington and husband James Doyle Barrington. Their children, Vickie Barrington, Becki Barrington, Barbara Barrington Provenzano and husband Dominic Provenzano; 14 great grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Center Fellowship located on 2130 Highview Road at 11a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Alafia village assisted living home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Florinda to the Life Path Hospice.

A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Center Fellowship located on 2130 Highview Road at 11a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
