Ethelyn Dodd Fuqua, 95, of Brandon, FL, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. A native of Ashville, AL, she had resided in the Tampa Bay area since 1980 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dean Fuqua and by her eight brothers and sisters. Ethelyn is survived by her daughters, Karen F. Kimbro (Larry) and Susan F. Durham (David); five grandchildren, Philip Durham, Laurelyn Durham, Julia Searcy (Rob), Allison Houghtaling (James) and Kaity Konsulis (Corey); and seven great-grandchildren, Ava, Audrey, Leah, Lauryn, Lincoln, Redding and Rhodes.
A funeral service for Ethelyn will be held at First Baptist Church of Brandon on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10 AM with family receiving friends one hour prior. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gideon's International.
