Eldon R. "Butch" Easterwood, Jr.
EASTERWOOD, Jr., Eldon R. "Butch", 55, of Winter Haven, lost his courageous battle with liver cancer on Monday, July 30, 2012. Born October 9, 1956, he passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones and the Cornerstone Hospice team at his side. Butch was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. A proud U.S. Army Ranger, serving his country from 1974-79 with notables for marksmanship and honor, he was a loyal and respected employee for over 33 years at the Mosaic Company's Bartow plant. Butch leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara Stearns Easterwood and three children, Brittany, Breanna and Dalton; his parents, Eldon "Al" Easterwood and Betty Easterwood; sisters, Joanne (Steven) Updike and Betty Corrinne (Jeff) Schleif, as well as a long list of friends and colleagues. Butch's presence touched and impacted the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Cornerstone Hospice or H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Foundation.
