Elba Luz Rivera, 77, of Brandon, FL, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024. A native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, she had resided in the Tampa Bay area for twenty-seven years coming from New York. Elba was a member of Maranatha Mission. She was known for her unwavering love and loyalty for the New York Yankees, collecting all of their memorabilia any chance she got.
Elba was preceded in death by her father, Cristobal Rivera; mother, Juanita Ayala; brothers, Alby Rivera, Hector Rivera and Cristobal Rivera; sister, Vilma Ocasio and nephew, Christopher.
She is survived by her Aunt Tana Bailey; nephews, Elliott, Eric, Rico and Mark; nieces, Villie, Julie, Melissa, Shirley and Rosie and many great-nephews and nieces.
A service for Elba will be held at Southern Funeral Care on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11 AM with family receiving friends one hour prior.
