Eileen Loretta Davidson, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. Eileen was born on March 19, 1943, in Bronx, NY and moved to Minot, North Dakota after marrying her late husband John Davidson, who was in the US Air Force. They moved to Florida in 1963, where they lived and raised three beautiful children.
Eileen was very strong, spunky, hardworking, and funny! She loved to talk to anyone who would listen and never met a stranger! She was the most dedicated caregiver for many years to both her mother and husband when they were unable to care for themselves. She loved to decorate her house, host holiday parties, and spend time with her lifetime friends.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all called her “Grammie”, and they were the most important thing in the world to her. She never missed a chance to spend time with them and share in each of their joys and accomplishments. Eileen’s legacy will live on through them!
Eileen is survived by her daughters, Doreen Weinberger (James) and Heather Boyer (Glenn); brother, Robert Ross; sisters, MaryAnn Christ and Loretta Minner (Bob); grandchildren, Matthew Weinberger, Krista Doran (Jordan), Alexis Tate (Sean), Alivia Davidson, Steven Mullen, Vanessa Mullen and Liam; great grandchildren, Chase, Kamden & Quinn Tate, Easton Doran, Vera, Evelyn and Jeremiah Brown along with many nieces and nephews.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, John T Davidson Jr. and her son, Michael Lee Davidson.
Funeral services will be held in Eileen’s honor on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview, FL 33578. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, at 12:30 P.M., where she will be buried with her late husband.
A reception for family and friends to have food and fellowship in her honor will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 p.m. at the Brandon Event Hall located at 137 S. Parsons Ave, Brandon, FL 33511.
