Edward Richard "Ed" Croake
CROAKE, Edward Richard, 65, SMSGT (USAF-Ret.), USPS (Ret.), of Seffner, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, January 9, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Jeffrey Croake ( Jules); daughter, Catherine Boyd ( Nate); sister, Elsie Mowatt; brother, Donald Croake; three beautiful grandchildren, Jordan, Lily, and Justice; and numerous other family members and friends. Ed retired from the United States Air Force in 1982 after 21 years of service. He began his civilian career at the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for another 23 years before retiring in 2008. Ed was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; his humor, gentleness, and sensibility was respected by all. He will be missed, but the family takes great comfort in the knowledge of his salvation in Jesus Christ.
Funeral Information
A viewing will take place at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview, on Sunday, January 11, 2009, from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, 2009, at Faith Baptist Church, 1118 N. Parsons Avenue, Brandon. Interment with full military honors will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
