It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Dorothy Irene Pasch (née Ruble) at the age of 96. She was born October 26, 1929 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and departed from this life on April 10, 2026.
Irene moved to Tampa, FL at the age of 7 with her parents, Wert and Bonita Ruble. Irene grew up in South Tampa attending Roosevelt Elementary, Wilson Jr. High and graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 1947. One of her fondest memories was fishing with her dad at Ballast Point Pier.
Irene was married to Edward S. Campbell Jr. and raised three children, Edward S. Campbell III, Dorothy Jeanne Sonke and W. Keith Campbell.
Throughout her life Irene enjoyed being very active and was a member of many clubs and charities in the community, including Tampa Women’s Club, Tampa Junior League, The Red Cross, The Children’s Home, Migrant Ministries and Red Hats Society. Other passions were her family, her Shih Tsu dogs, bridge, Crafty Ladies, and painting.
Later in life Irene married Richard S. Pasch and enjoyed a wonderful life. Together they owned Rich-Dip Inc. which was the first Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Distribution company in Central Florida. Retired, Irene and Richard enjoyed traveling the world and retreating to their happy place in the mountains near Sylva, NC.
