Donna Sue Adkins, born and raised in South Tampa, passed away surrounded by the love of those whose lives she touched so deeply. A proud graduate of Robinson High School, Donna was a spirited cheerleader whose warmth and vibrant personality were evident even in her early years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Adkins and Willie Rae Adkins, and her three brothers, Tommy, James, and Ray. Though her immediate family circle has grown smaller over the years, Donna’s love continues through her surviving nieces and nephews: Clay, Bobby, Bill, Debbie, Tim, Chris, Dan, and Natalie, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Donna built a respected career as an office manager for a law firm, where her organization, dedication, and steady leadership made her an invaluable presence. She later worked with the American Heart Association, helping to coordinate fundraisers and events that supported lifesaving initiatives. Her natural gift for planning extended beyond her professional life—she had a special talent for organizing parties and weddings, bringing joy and beauty to every celebration she touched.
A lifelong learner, Donna took classes in meditation and generously shared what she learned with family and friends, guiding them toward peace and mindfulness. She found happiness in sailing and dancing, embracing life with grace, rhythm, and a free spirit that inspired those around her.
Donna will be remembered for her kindness, her organizational brilliance, her joyful energy, and the steady, loving presence she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she uplifted and in the memories cherished by those who loved her.
